5,211 Acre area for hunting (fall firearms deer and turkey are closed)
with waterfowl being the emphasis. Fishing opportunities are the Missouri River, Teteseau Lake. Primitive camping in designated areas. During waterfowl season portions of the area are restricted
to hunters with daily hunting permits.

Malta Bend Community Lake

Marshall Junction Conservation Area
2 Miles S. of the junction of I 70 and Hwy 65, then 3 miles W. on
Hwy CC and 1mile N. on County Road RA.

A shooting range is on the area. Open all year. See area regulations.
Miami Public Fishing Access
From Marshall, take Hwy 41 N. to the town of Miami. At Miami, watch
for the cantilever signs.

McAllister Springs Public fishing Access
On the Blackwater River 5 miles E. of Sweet Springs on I 70, then 2.25

From Hwy 65 turn a short distance east on Hwy 240 then north onto Hwy
41. Drive seven miles north on Hwy 41, turn west on to Hwy 122. Highway 122 deadends in the park. The American Indian Cultural Center is the first building in the park. Just past the Cultural Center is the campground
with shower house, picnic area with shelters, trails and Lake Wooldridge.

Offers many recreational opportunities. Beautiful scenery, hiking trails showcase Earthworks, Mound Field, Vanmeter Cemetery, Lake Wooldridge. American Indian Cultural Center with exhibits about nine resident tribes of Missouri, souvenirs, picnic area, playground. Basic electric campsites, showerhouse, picnic area, playground, fishing lake, hiking trails, no swimming, no dump station.

Office is located in Columbia, Missouri, but lands are in Saline County
and Lafayette Counties. The Big Muddy National Fish and Wildlife Refuge is public land open to hunting, fishing and wildlife observation. The refuge is at various locations in the Missouri River floodplain between Kansas City and St. Louis. A couple of the areas are just a short drive from Marshall.
