The annual Marshall Municipal Band Ice Cream Social will be taking place on August 3 at 6pm. Serving begins at 6:00 and the concert will begin at 7:00. The concert will be held in the Family Life Center of the First United Methodist Church, 225 E. Arrow St Marshall, Missouri.
The Marshall Municipal Band is one of the oldest tax-supported bands in the state of Missouri. Records indicate that organized band music in Marshall dates back to around 1871, shortly after the Civil War. The Marshall Municipal Band was officially organized in 1921 and has continuously performed since that time.
